NARCISSUS

Jonquil
Jonquil or Narcissus flowers and their oils were used for centuries by Romans and Arabs in the making of fragrances, cosmetic products and soaps. Jonquil carries a sweet, floral but heavy note. Most of the times it is described as thick, heady and intoxicating. It is clearly a pungent floral note with a well hidden green aspect and a slight resemblance to honey, which is used in perfumes designed to make a statement. The freshness packed into this famous note is not expected to make it light or dry, it is warm and bulky with a unique oriental legacy, which only one word can illustrate, ”sensual”.
