ORANGE OIL (SWEET)

Orange oil (sweet)
The typical scent of squeezed orange peel is fresh, light, fruity and definitely citrusy. The fruit’s peel is packed with the chemical substance d-Limonene which radiates with the bright lemony odor, while the aldehydic citral gives off a stronger and deeper citrus aroma. The heart of Orange note becomes even fresher with a few light floral hints, similar to the lily scent, due to the linalool, minor yet important constituent. As we move deeper into the note’s base, a combination of aldehydes creates a sharp and fatty character, still sweet but in a warmer way that is almost as thick as the fruit’s pulp and truly comforting. Sweet orange oil is often used in all kinds of fragrances thanks to its smooth tone and the shy exotic trails cloaked under its scentful skin.
