The fragrance heart consisting of three different flower notes is not the anticipated girly flower explosion. We mostly realize the pepper-like yellow freesia and the mildly sweet orange flower, amazingly coupled together. The body of Sunset in Salina is clean and fresh as the sweetness evaporates, allowing a slightly pungent and not completely transparent essence to run through our nostrils. At a certain point it actually smells like grandma's bitter orange marmalade, or a familiar scenery of orange tree orchards in the South of Italy.

 The transition to the strong base notes is conducted through the glamorous, hypnotizing white jasmine, there our senses are introduced to the warm and cosy amber, with its penetrating scent, the “medicated” feature combined with the woody, earthy Cedarwood, creating a uniquely Italian high-end aroma. Could you resist that? White musk is the last base note, used primarily as an additive to enhance the fragrance longevity, but thankfully it is not very strong, neither is it one too sweet or too powdery influence.

  Sunset in Salina, just like its sibling Light Blue, is not a conventional eau de toilette pour femme, it is well-balanced between spicy and sweet, radiant and rebellious, just like any Mediterranean woman.
