HAWTHORN

Hawthorn
The shrub or small tree of Hawthorn is not one very recognizable plant, however there is a perfume note listed under this very name in the Floral notes family. It is found both in feminine and masculine fragrances, because of its limited floral aura. The actual distinctive characteristics of this diffusive note are the bitterness and the affinity towards the bitter almond odor. In most feminine fragrances, when Hawthorn is added, it helps secure the rest of the floral notes and anchors them, while in masculine and unisex fragrances its bitter hints may shape a leather-like accord.
