LILY
Floral Note
Everyone is familiar with the white trumpet-shaped flower which occasionally comes by the name Madonna Lily and might sometimes carry other color nuances. Its long petals open up to reveal a sweetly heavy floral note. The heaviness of the Lily note is eventually left behind as the waxy character and hints of spiciness surface, conquering our senses. Since in most cultures Lilies were symbols of purity and beauty, it is interesting to connect the symbolisms with the odor profile, powerful but soft and feminine, smooth but persistent. When it comes to Lily as a perfume note, it is one of the most gladly accepted ingredients, even in the ones described as “heavy” perfumes, due to the sweet feeling of coziness it generates.
