VANILLA
Balsamic Note
The delicious Vanilla undeniably needs no further introduction, since a trip down memory lane will surely unveil a number of mama’s cooking marvels and the joy of sweet-smelling Vanilla. The note used today in perfumery is, of course, synthetic because of the great cost of natural Vanilla extract. The chemical compound found in this synthetic material is vanillin, which successfully mimics the natural one. Vanilla note is always considered as a soft and sweet scent, but it is also its balsamic facet which makes it a favorable ingredient to perfumers. A miraculous thing happens when this balsamic aspect cuddles with the sweetness and finally donates the very popular, rich, powdery and warm scent. In modern floral compositions Vanilla is added as a depth booster, producing comforting and seductive fragrances.
