Moving to the perfume itself, a first taste of citrus notes that open up vibrantly, yuzu and kumquat, deliver a fresh, clean and joyful intro, with the latter exhibiting a sweet maturity. The exotic touch of bamboo adds a vital boost to this lemon detailed top layer of Delicate Rose and a texture so airy, almost silky. Bamboo here appears much different than when detected in the middle layer of Dolce&Gabbana's Light Blue, where we sense a slight bitterness. This first stage of Delicate Rose ends with the citrus notes revealing a powdery and rose-like hint. 

    A softly powdery accord of rose and jasmine is discovered in the perfume's heart, which is nothing like the mainstream super girly aspect of rose petals, yes it is feminine all the way, but innocence is definitely not part of the equation. Apple and lotus combined manage to soften the floral edges, lending their fruity qualities. Crispy cool apple provides a harmonious connection between the flowers, while lotus brings down the jasmine volume and finally creates a "white flowers" effect, sensual and captivating. It is very impressive how rose aggregates with lotus keeping the perfume bright and vivid, but not heavy at all. 

     One thing I really love about Trussardi's Delicate Rose is the smooth transition between layers, which are full of fruity and floral characteristics, intersecting each other without exaggeration. 

    Closure comes with a touch of musk, gently enclosing all flowers and flowing into the purity of light wood base notes. 

    Delicate Rose eau de toilette has an efficient, discrete sillage and a fair longevity.
